Art with Dr. Justin Sutters Tuesdays, 11:30-12:15 Classes meet Tuesdays from Sept 8 to the end of January, except on Oak Hill holidays. Justin Sutters teaches art at Oak Hill. He also serves as the Director of the Graduate Art Education program at George Mason University. He helps students see art as another form of communication and persuasion as well as a way to bring glory to the Creator. He exemplifies a genuine love and excitement for God’s world in his teaching.
Personal Finance with Justin Hall, Fridays 10-11 a.m. Classes meet Sept 18, 25, October 2, 9, 23, 30, Nov 6, 13, 20 and Jan 8, 18, 22 & 29
More than a standard personal finance class, this course is taught by a business and technology leader with real-world experience managing large budgets and living globally, and it pairs practical skills — negotiating, budgeting, investing, taxes, and insurance — with honest conversations about debt, career choices, and the emotional side of money. Students will also explore biblical principles of stewardship and generosity, how personality shapes financial habits in marriage, and how to prepare a legacy for the people they love. Students will leave equipped not just to manage money, but to steward it wisely.
Justin is a father of three and an experienced IT executive (currently CTO of a SaaS company) who has led large-scale technology programs ($50M+) while living and working across Europe and Asia. Blessed with strong financial instincts both professionally and personally, he has built a career on stewardship, strategy, and caring for people over pure profit. Justin is excited to bring that same heart for mentorship into the classroom and to help our students build a strong financial foundation for their future.
Group Strings with Monika Dorosheff, Fridays 10-11 a.m. Classes meet Sept 11, 18, 25, Oct 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Nov 6, 13, 20, Dec 4, 11, 18 and Jan 8, 18, 22 & 29
Monika Dorosheff is an active soloist and chamber musician. She is a frequent guest-performer at music series such as Dumbarton House, The Strathmore, Schlesinger Hall, Hylton Performing Arts Center and The CenterStage at Reston. In 2009, she debuted at Carnegie Hall. She is a first prize winner of the "New Names" competition in Armenia and of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Young Artists competition in which she performed the Brahms Violin Concerto to a critical acclaim. Monika has been honored by several living composers, such as Tigran Mansurian, Mikel Kuehn and Tom Beveridge to premier and record their works in Europe and United States.
